Scott McTominay begins training with Napoli after heart surgery

Napoli midfielder Scott McTominay has begun individual training at the Castel Volturno training center following a corrective cardiac ablation surgery. The procedure, performed at Spire Manchester Hospital on September 8, was required to treat a benign arrhythmia.

McTominay is currently undergoing a physical recovery program to prepare for a return to competitive action. Before he can rejoin the squad for official matches, he must pass a mandatory medical examination to obtain new sports clearance.

If his recovery progresses as expected, he could potentially be available for Napoli’s upcoming league match against Frosinone on October 10. His return is viewed as a significant boost for manager Massimiliano Allegri, as the midfielder has been a key performer for the club.
