Scott Morrison returns as Peninsula Strikers head coach

Scott Morrison has returned to the senior coaching role at Peninsula Strikers. The appointment follows the recent departure of head coach Ross Walliss and assistant Ben Sharland.

Morrison previously held the position for three years, a tenure that concluded after the club missed out on promotion following a 3-3 draw against Casey Comets in the 2025 season. Morrison noted that his previous departure was due to the emotional toll of the role and family commitments related to his son’s involvement with Melbourne City.

To support his return, the club has established a new coaching structure. Jason Symonds will serve as an assistant, alongside playing assistant Wayne ‘Buzzer’ Gordon.
