Scott Pendlebury trades from Collingwood to Gold Coast Suns

Veteran AFL player Scott Pendlebury has officially moved from Collingwood to the Gold Coast Suns in exchange for pick No. 65. The 38-year-old, who holds the games record and has played 442 senior games, will serve as a playing mentor for the Suns with an eye toward a future coaching role.

In related roster movements, Collingwood has been active during the early trade period. The club acquired Jesse Hogan from GWS for pick No. 75 and secured dual Brownlow medallist Lachie Neale as a free agent.

Collingwood list boss Justin Leppitsch indicated that while the club is saying goodbye to Pendlebury, they are unlikely to trade Jordan De Goey at this stage, as the player has a year remaining on his contract. Leppitsch also addressed speculation regarding defender Dan Houston, stating he expects Houston to remain at the club through 2027.
