Scott Perry and Janelle Stelson compete in Pennsylvania 10th District race

The congressional race for Pennsylvania’s 10th District has become increasingly competitive as Election Day approaches. Democratic candidate Janelle Stelson, a former local news anchor, holds a significant financial advantage over Republican incumbent Scott Perry. According to third-quarter federal campaign finance filings, Stelson has approximately $2.52 million in cash on hand, while Perry reports around $1.65 million, leaving Stelson with a lead of nearly $900,000.

Combined, the two candidates have raised more than $15 million. Outside groups have also contributed heavily to the contest, with $15.04 million in independent spending directed toward supporting or attacking the candidates. Recent polling suggests Stelson maintains a narrow lead in the race.

During a recent appearance, Rep. Perry suggested that Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro is utilizing his political influence and resources in the state to build a platform for a future presidential run. Perry claimed Shapiro’s strategy involves influencing down-ballot congressional races to bolster his national standing.
