Scott Redding wins at Oulton Park as Max Cook recovers from crash in British Superbikes

Scott Redding fought a bug to lead the final British Superbike (BSB) race at Oulton Park, but was overtaken by championship leader Kyle Ryde before the finish, leaving Redding in second place. Redding said his plan was simply to lead and defend, noting he "tried to pass everywhere" and "dug in again" despite tyre concerns.

Max Cook endured a heavy crash at the Cascades corner on Saturday, describing it as one of the biggest of his career and leaving his body bruised. He returned for Sunday's races, securing a pole position and a lap record on Saturday, then finishing fifth and sixth on Sunday despite his body "shutting down" during the final race.

Both riders highlighted the performance of their Ducati machines, with Cook calling the bike "mega" and Redding emphasizing the need to push to the limit.
