United States wins Presidents Cup with historic comeback at Medinah
The United States team secured its 11th consecutive Presidents Cup victory at Medinah Country Club, overcoming a three-point deficit entering the final day to defeat the International Team 17-13.
After trailing 10.5-7.5 at the start of Sunday's singles matches, the Americans staged a massive comeback, winning nine of the twelve matches. Key performances included rookie Jackson Koivun and veteran Scottie Scheffler. Jacob Bridgeman clinched the victory by defeating Min Woo Lee 1-up on the 18th hole.
U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker, who had previously criticized his own strategic decisions, credited the team's resilience. President Donald Trump, serving as honorary chairman, attended the event and addressed the crowd before play began. The International Team, led by captain Geoff Ogilvy, had held a commanding lead throughout much of the tournament but was unable to maintain momentum during the final session.
