Scottie Scheffler wins FedEx St. Jude Championship by eight strokes

Scottie Scheffler secured a dominant eight-stroke victory at the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis, marking his first PGA Tour win since January. Finishing at 17-under 263, Scheffler set a new record for the largest winning margin in the tournament's 68-year history at the course. The win earned him $3.6 million and 750 FedEx Cup points, solidifying his position as the world No. 1 and the leader in the FedEx Cup standings.

Si Woo Kim finished in second place at 9-under par, earning $2.16 million. Other notable performers included Sam Burns and Alex Noren, who tied for third. The tournament results had significant implications for the FedEx Cup Playoffs; Si Woo Kim, Sungjae Im, and Im Seong-jae all secured positions to advance to the BMW Championship.

Scheffler's performance was characterized by elite putting and approach play, despite a brief setback on the third hole where a bunker shot hit a sprinkler head and landed in the water. This victory also moves him closer to Tiger Woods on the PGA Tour's all-time career earnings list.
