Scottish teen Tejlor Kulter injected with GHB at Magaluf nightclub

Eighteen‑year‑old Tejlor Kulter, a promising Scottish footballer, was attacked on 21 June at the Bananas nightclub in Magaluf, Mallorca. An unknown man injected her with the sedative drug GHB and an antidepressant, causing sharp pain, loss of consciousness and memory gaps.

Kulter managed to reach friends who helped her to a toilet and then to a nearby hotel, where she called her parents and was taken to hospital. Blood tests confirmed the presence of GHB and the antidepressant. She is now on antiviral medication as prophylaxis against HIV and hepatitis, but the treatment has left her with severe fatigue, limited mobility and unable to train with Greenock Morton Women FC.

The incident highlights concerns over drug‑facilitated sexual assault in tourist venues and its lasting health impact on victims.
