Scottland FC advances to CAF Champions League second round

Zimbabwean champions Scottland FC have advanced to the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League following a 1-0 aggregate victory over Eswatini’s Nsingizini Hotspurs.

After securing a 1-0 win in the first leg at the National Sports Stadium in Harare via a goal from Neville Tengeg, Scottland maintained their lead with a disciplined 0-0 draw in the return leg at Somhlolo National Stadium. This victory marks a significant milestone for the club in its maiden appearance in Africa’s premier inter-club competition.

Scottland will now await the results of a matchup between Mozambique’s UD Songo and Angola’s Atlético Petróleos to determine their opponent in the second preliminary round, scheduled for October.
