The ABC comedy series "Scrubs" revival was officially renewed for a second season on April 30 after a strong debut performance. The Season 2 launch will be a two‑episode premiere airing Wednesday, Sept 30 at 8 p.m. ET.
The first season attracted 11.36 million viewers across five days, including 4.4 million live on traditional TV, making it the network’s biggest comedy episode in over a year. Core cast members Zach Braff (J.D.), Donald Faison (Turk), Sarah Chalke (Elliot), Judy Reyes (Carla) and John C. McGinley (Dr. Cox) are confirmed to return, with newcomer Ava Bunn promoted to series regular. Showrunner Bill Lawrence oversees the continuation.
