Scuola del Libro showcases Italian craftsmanship at Lincoln Center
Students from the Scuola del Libro, an arts high school based in Urbino, recently participated in the ‘Scuola Futura’ ministerial project at the Lincoln Center in New York City. As one of only four Italian arts high schools selected by the ministry to represent national educational excellence abroad, the students hosted demonstration workshops at the Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse.
During the three-day event, students showcased traditional Italian craftsmanship, including bookbinding and engraving techniques, using various tools, plates, and frames. The exhibition featured a selection of volumes produced by the school. The event was attended by local New York schools, members of the Italian community, officials from the Italian Consulate, and Minister Giuseppe Valditara.
