Södertälje school nurse faces health board probe over missed examinations

A school nurse employed in Nykvarn, part of Södertälje municipality, was reported by a person named Ivo to the Health and Medical Services Responsibility Board (HSAN). An internal review found that the nurse had failed to examine about 60 % of the second‑grade pupils, putting her at risk of a probationary period.

The community is also dealing with several other incidents. A bomb was thrown into a bar on Södermalm and authorities say it is linked to an ongoing underworld conflict in Södertälje, leading to a police‑imposed seal‑off of the area. Soil contamination at the Lillhaga preschool forced a partial closure while further testing is carried out. Residents have voiced strong concerns that these events are damaging the neighbourhood.
