Political leaders in Bosnia and Herzegovina address regional development

Political leaders and parties in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia are addressing regional development and public services. In Čajnič, Milorad Dodik announced planned investments in road infrastructure, public lighting, a health center, and childcare facilities, stating that special support programs for investors will be established.

In Gradačac, SDP BiH President Nermin Nikšić defended his party against political labels, emphasizing tangible results such as increased minimum pensions, minimum wages, and over eight million KM in government investments for the city. The party advocates for continued development and better coordination between local and federal authorities.

In Velika Kladuša, the SDP highlighted the need for leadership that prioritizes family support and regional development, citing the completion of a long-delayed cultural center. Meanwhile, in Croatia, the SDP in Zadar has called for a reorganization of emergency medical services to better serve islands and rural areas, noting challenges in accessing healthcare within the ‘golden hour’ due to geographic isolation.

In Dubrovnik, local officials have faced criticism regarding the management of public property, specifically concerning the decision to lease rather than purchase space for a kindergarten in Pilama.
