SDP to appoint new Secretary General during upcoming committee session
The SDP Main Committee is expected to confirm leadership changes within the party during its upcoming session in Rijeka. Under the leadership of Siniša Hajdaš Dončić, Marko Krička is set to step down from his position as Secretary General.
Unofficial reports suggest that Jure Zubčić, the president of the SDP in Zadar County and a county assembly member, is the proposed successor. Sources regarding the transition vary; one indicates that Krička is leaving to pursue other political goals, including work in the Croatian Parliament and local efforts in Sisak, while another source describes the move as a dismissal.
Krička has held the role since the spring of 2023. According to party statutes, the Secretary General is appointed by the Main Committee upon the president's proposal for a four-year term.
