SDS increases lead over Freedom Movement in Slovenian polls

A recent Mediana poll conducted for Delo shows the Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) increasing its lead over the Freedom Movement (Gibanje Svoboda). In the September survey, SDS received 22.7% of the vote, while the Freedom Movement followed with 18.8%.

Other political entities including the NSi, SLS, and Fokus group received 7.7%, while the Social Democrats (SD) stood at 7.6%. The Left (Levica) received 4.8%. The poll also indicates that President Nataša Pirc Musar has surpassed SD President Matjaž Han in popularity for the first time since March 2024.

Public perception of the government remains largely negative, with 46.3% of respondents rating the government's work as negative or very negative, an increase from 42% in August. Approximately 27.8% of respondents view the government's work positively.
