SDSM accuses Hristijan Mickoski of using divisive propaganda

The Social Democratic Union of Macedonia (SDSM) has accused Hristijan Mickoski and the VMRO party of employing propaganda tactics similar to those used by Vancho Mihajlov. According to the SDSM, Mickoski uses rhetoric that labels political opponents as ‘traitors’ and ‘outcasts’ to justify repression and division.

The SDSM claims that Mickoski’s recent campaign, launched during the Ilinden holiday, divides the population into ‘patriots’ and ‘traitors,’ referring to those who do not support his policies as ‘talog’ (baggage). The party further alleged that VMRO is a ‘pro-Bulgarian’ party, citing instances where officials and their families hold Bulgarian passports and businesses.

Additionally, the SDSM criticized the influence of the ‘Serbian world’ and accused Mickoski of utilizing a ‘Goebbels-style approach’ through specific media figures to promote a politics of fear, isolation, and control.
