SDSM accuses VMRO-DPMNE of causing economic cataclysm in North Macedonia

The SDSM political party has issued a sharp critique of the current VMRO-DPMNE government, accusing Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski of leading North Macedonia into an “economic cataclysm” and international isolation.

SDSM contrasted the current administration's performance with its previous government, claiming the former secured NATO membership, opened EU negotiations, and attracted 250 million euros in investment in a single quarter. In contrast, SDSM alleges the current government has only seen 18 million euros in investment and has increased national debt by 4 billion euros in two years.

The opposition party further criticized the current leadership for failing to support farmers and impoverishing citizens, while accusing VMRO-DPMNE of using labels rather than delivering substantive improvements to the country's diplomatic and economic standing.
