SDSM alleges corruption in 13.2 million euro energy deal
The SDSM political party has raised allegations of corruption regarding a new energy deal in North Macedonia. Keti Shterjova of SDSM announced that a Serbian company, METER&CONTROL, has been selected by EVN Macedonia for a contract to procure electricity meters valued at approximately 13.2 million euros.
SDSM claims that METER&CONTROL is linked to the Rudnap Group. The party alleges a conflict of interest involving the Minister of Energy, Sanja Bozhinovska, noting that she served as an executive director for Rudnap Group companies in Central and Eastern Europe between 2011 and 2014. The opposition describes this as part of a broader energy business network connected to Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and various offshore structures in Cyprus.
