SDSM files criminal charges against police and VMRO-DPMNE official
The Social Democratic Union of Macedonia (SDSM) has filed criminal complaints against police officers from the Strumica Police Station and VMRO-DPMNE spokesperson Valentin Manasievski. The legal action follows an incident on August 5 in Novo Selo involving young activists.
SDSM General Secretary Aleksandar Sasha Dimitrijeviq alleges that police officers abused their positions to leak classified criminal records and official secrets to VMRO-DPMNE for partisan purposes. The party claims these documents were used to publicly target activists.
Additionally, the complaint against Manasievski cites the misuse of personal data and incitement. Manasievski has denied the allegations, stating he does not have access to police systems and that the information he published regarding the activists' criminal backgrounds was in the public interest.
