Südzucker and Agrana raise financial forecasts following strong earnings

Südzucker has reported a significant increase in earnings for the second quarter, with EBITDA rising approximately 80 percent to 168 million euros for the three months ending in August. The company attributed this growth to higher ethanol prices and increased sales volumes within its specialties segment. Consequently, Südzucker has raised its lower-end earnings forecast for the 2026/27 fiscal year to a range of 540 to 680 million euros and expanded its revenue guidance to between 8.3 and 8.7 billion euros.

Similarly, the fruit, starch, and sugar group Agrana reported improved quarterly results, with earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) reaching 28.1 million euros compared to 22.3 million euros in the previous year. Agrana has also raised its EBIT forecast for the current fiscal year to a range of 90 to 110 million euros, up from its previous projection of 70 to 90 million euros. The company noted that its outlook assumes continued stability in energy and raw material supplies and that geopolitical conflicts in the Middle East remain regionally contained.
