Sea Isle City residents track teenage misbehavior via Facebook group

A husband and wife riding e‑bikes on Pleasure Avenue in Sea Isle City were harassed by a group of teenagers who threw a construction cone at their wheels. The couple called police, but no charges were filed. The incident was posted in a local Facebook group called “People Behaving Poorly in Sea Isle City,” where neighbors shared similar complaints about nightly teenage disturbances and a rotating pool of renters.

The group’s discussion highlights a broader pattern of unsupervised teenage activity along the New Jersey shore. Some towns, such as Long Branch, Seaside Heights, Wildwood and North Wildwood, have responded with curfews, cease‑and‑desist orders, and proactive social‑media monitoring to prevent pop‑up parties. Sea Isle City, however, is described as a more residential community where residents feel increasingly fatigued by the recurring behavior.
