NetEase Games announces global beta for Sea of Remnants

NetEase Games and its subsidiary Joker Studio have announced a global closed beta test for their upcoming turn-based roguelike RPG, ‘Sea of Remnants’, scheduled for December. The announcement and a new music-video style trailer were made during Gamescom Opening Night Live.

Set in the fictional world of Orbtopia, the game features an open-world environment where players engage in a gameplay loop of sailing, exploration, gathering, and returning to base. As a roguelike title, elements such as enemies, bosses, crew members, equipment, and skills change with every expedition to ensure replayability. The game will utilize turn-based combat and dice mechanics to create unpredictable battle scenarios.

‘Sea of Remnants’ is being developed for multiple platforms, including PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and mobile devices. The title is expected to see a full release in 2027.
