Sea of Thieves and Skull and Bones receive major content updates

Major updates have launched for two prominent pirate-themed video games. Sea of Thieves has released a significant update for Season 20, building upon the ‘Custom Seas’ feature introduced in June 2026. This mode allows players to create and design private game instances for free. The latest content expansion includes improved creative tools and new cosmetic items available in the shop.

Simultaneously, Ubisoft has launched ‘Crimson Waters,’ the second season of Year 3 for Skull and Bones. This update introduces the Junk, a high-damage large ship featuring 38 cannon slots, and the Abyssal Fleet, a new enemy faction in the Indian Ocean. Players can participate in the ‘Heralds of the Abyss’ world event to face waves of attacks and an elite boss. The update also implements a modification transfer system, allowing players to move specific mods between equipment pieces at the cost of the original item.
