SeABank announces Sustainable Finance Framework
Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank) has officially launched its Sustainable Finance Framework. The framework received an independent Second Party Opinion (SPO) from S&P Global Ratings on September 24, 2026.
Designed to align with Vietnam’s national goals for green growth and the commitment to reach net-zero emissions by 2050, the framework serves as a tool to mobilize and allocate capital toward environmentally and socially beneficial sectors. The framework adheres to international principles from organizations including the International Capital Market Association (ICMA), the Loan Market Association (LMA/APLMA), the Loan Syndications and Trading Association (LSTA), and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
SeABank plans to allocate capital across three main pillars: 40–45% to 14 green sectors, 10–15% to seven blue economy sectors focused on ocean protection, and 40–45% to five social objectives. The framework covers the entire capital lifecycle, including purpose identification, project selection, fund management, and annual impact reporting.
