Seabed 2030 partners with MEWO to expand ocean mapping

The Nippon Foundation-GEBCO Seabed 2030 Project has entered into a partnership with MEWO S.A., a major Polish provider of environmental, geophysical, and geotechnical marine surveys. The collaboration aims to expand the global network of ocean floor mapping and contribute bathymetric data to the freely available GEBCO Ocean Map.

MEWO operates across the European offshore market, including the Baltic, Mediterranean, and North Seas. The company provides services such as data acquisition, processing, and analysis for sectors including offshore wind energy development, subsea telecommunications, and marine science. The partnership was formalized at the WindEnergy Hamburg 2026 event.
