Seafra O'Donovan charged in €111k cannabis seizure case
Seafra O'Donovan, a 36-year-old marketing executive for Bauer Media, has been charged in connection with a cannabis seizure valued at €111,000. The incident occurred on March 23 at Marconi House in Dublin, the headquarters for radio stations including Newstalk and Today FM.
O'Donovan faces charges of unlawful possession of cannabis in a parcel sent from the United States, as well as possession for sale or supply. During a recent appearance at the Dublin District Court, the prosecution requested a six-week adjournment to await a certificate of analysis from Forensic Science Ireland.
Defense solicitor Conor McGreevy noted that the case would likely be moved beyond the District Court for trial. The defense emphasized that O'Donovan has complied with all bail conditions and argued that the legal proceedings are having a detrimental impact on his life.
