Seamie O’Shea appointed manager of Ballymun Kickhams

Former Mayo midfielder Seamie O’Shea has been appointed as the senior football manager for the Dublin-based club Ballymun Kickhams. O’Shea, who had a distinguished inter-county career, was appointed to the role in February.

O’Shea’s tenure brings a wealth of elite experience to the club as they navigate the Dublin senior championship. He currently leads the squad into a senior quarter-final against Thomas Davis. The manager noted that while he shares a history with several players on the team—including James McCarthy, Dean Rock, and John Small, whom he faced during high-profile All-Ireland finals—those competitive battles are in the past. He emphasized the value of having experienced players who can commit fully to the club level.
