Sean Brady questions Shavkat Rakhmonov’s future amid injury concerns

UFC fighter Sean Brady has expressed doubt regarding Shavkat Rakhmonov’s ability to continue his professional MMA career. Speaking with Daniel Cormier, Brady suggested that Rakhmonov’s recurring knee injuries may prevent him from successfully completing training camps, stating, “I don’t think he’s ever going to fight again.”

Rakhmonov, who remains undefeated, has faced significant setbacks due to injury, including missing a title shot against Belal Muhammad at UFC 315. While the welterweight division has continued to progress with fighters like Jack Della Maddalena, Brady believes Rakhmonov is at least two fights away from a championship opportunity if he can return.

In separate news, coach Din Thomas has indicated he may reverse his recent decision to retire from cornering fighters. After previously announcing his departure following Gillian Robertson’s loss at UFC 330, Thomas told the “Deep Waters” podcast that he is considering returning to the corner for Sean Brady’s upcoming bout against Gabriel Bonfim in November.
