Sean Combs' 'Ibiza Tapes' Ordered for Government Forfeiture

Federal prosecutors have asked a judge to finalize the forfeiture of a collection of Sony DVCAM cassettes labeled “Ibiza Tapes” that were seized from Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Miami mansion during a March 2024 raid. The filing, submitted to U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian, identifies the tapes only by their label and provides no details about their contents, recording dates, or any connection to the Spanish island of Ibiza.

The government posted a public notice of the forfeiture for 30 days, after which no third‑party claims were filed, and the judge signed the final order. The tapes are part of a larger cache of electronics and surveillance equipment seized in the investigation that led to Combs’ mixed verdict – guilty on two transportation‑related prostitution charges and acquitted of racketeering and sex‑trafficking counts. No auction or disposal plan for the cassettes has been announced.
