Sean Combs released from solitary confinement after prison fight

Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly been released from solitary confinement at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey following an alleged physical altercation with another inmate. The incident, which reportedly occurred in July, allegedly began after an inmate made insulting remarks toward Combs, escalating from verbal exchanges to pushing and punches before correctional officers intervened.

Combs is currently serving a 50-month federal sentence following a 2025 conviction on two counts related to transporting individuals for prostitution. He was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges. While the Federal Bureau of Prisons has not officially confirmed the details of the fight or his housing status due to privacy and security policies, reports indicate he has returned to the general prison population.

His projected release date has undergone several adjustments and is currently listed as February 20, 2028. Combs continues to appeal his conviction before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
