Sean Combs's prison release date moved to February 2028

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing an updated release date from federal prison, now projected for February 2028. According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the music mogul is currently serving a sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey following his conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution under the Mann Act.

His release date has shifted several times, moving from previous dates in April and June 2028 to the current February timeline. Officials noted that such adjustments often occur due to Federal Time Credits earned through the First Step Act, which allows inmates to reduce sentences by participating in recidivism reduction programming, such as the drug-abuse rehabilitation program Combs is attending.

While Combs was acquitted of more severe charges involving racketeering and sex trafficking, he was ordered to pay a $500,000 fine. His legal team continues to challenge the conviction in federal court, arguing that the activities involved in his case should be protected as expressive activity under the First Amendment.
