Sean Daniel Leary sentenced for high-range drink-driving

Sean Daniel Leary, a truck driver in his 50s, pleaded guilty to high-range drink-driving at the Griffith Local Court. Police intercepted Leary driving a Holden Commodore at approximately 10:00 am on May 17, during which he recorded a breath test result of 0.174.

Defense counsel noted Leary’s history of repeat offending but stated he is attending the Pathways counselling service. The incident is expected to impact his career, as the required interlock device may prevent him from operating heavy vehicles.
