Sean “Diddy” Combs' Prison Release Date Delayed to Feb 20 2028 After Inmate Fight
The U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons has set Sean “Diddy” Combs’ new projected release date at February 20, 2028. The adjustment follows a July altercation with another inmate at the low‑security facility FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, after which Combs was placed in solitary confinement. The rapper‑producer is serving a 50‑month sentence for two Mann Act convictions (transportation for prostitution) handed down in a 2025 federal trial in New York. Since his incarceration, his release date has been changed multiple times—most recently from an anticipated January 2028 exit. The Bureau has offered no official explanation for the latest shift. Combs continues to participate in a residential drug‑abuse treatment program and his legal team is pursuing an appeal of the conviction.
