Sean “Diddy” Combs sells Star Island Miami mansion for $55 million
Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has completed an off‑market sale of his 1 Star Island Drive waterfront estate in Miami Beach for $55 million. The buyer, JFStar LLC, is a Virginia‑based firm led by John A. Franklin, which financed part of the purchase with an $18.5 million mortgage from Axos Bank.
The eight‑thousand‑square‑foot mansion, built in the 1940s and expanded later, sits on 1.3 acres with 240 feet of Biscayne Bay frontage, six bedrooms, eight‑and‑a‑half bathrooms, a pool, spa, private dock and guest house. Combs bought the property in 2021 for $35 million from Gloria and Emilio Estefan. The sale occurs while he serves a 50‑month federal prison sentence for two prostitution‑related convictions, with a projected release in February 2028. He retains ownership of the adjacent 2 Star Island residence, which he purchased in 2003 and was subject to a Homeland Security raid in March 2024.
The transaction follows a prior legal dispute between Franklin’s company and the seller’s entity, 1 West Star Island LLC, which was settled before the May 2026 closing. The deal marks one of the largest real‑estate moves involving Combs during his incarceration.
