Sean Lennon clarifies inheritance split with brother Julian Lennon

Sean Lennon has addressed long-standing rumors regarding the inheritance of his late father, John Lennon. Responding to social media claims that his half-brother Julian Lennon was “largely cut out” of the estate, Sean clarified that both sons received equal amounts.

In a post on X, Sean stated, “Julian and I inherited the same amount from our dad. Our trusts were equal. Although his was slightly more, but negligibly so.” This clarification follows decades of speculation regarding the division of the Beatles musician's estate and previous legal disputes between Julian and Yoko Ono.

Sean also highlighted his close relationship with Julian, sharing a photo of them celebrating his 51st birthday together. Beyond family matters, Sean described himself as a custodian of his father's legacy, aiming to ensure younger generations remain connected to the music of John Lennon and The Beatles.
