Sean Strickland injured in high-speed off-road vehicle rollover

UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland was injured in a high-speed off-road vehicle accident in Las Vegas. Strickland reported that he was a passenger in a side-by-side vehicle traveling at approximately 60 mph when the driver, identified as his friend Chris Cornell, lost control, causing the vehicle to roll over roughly six times.

Strickland, who was not wearing a helmet at the time, shared footage on social media showing head and shoulder injuries. He described feeling symptoms of a concussion and noted that his head hit the ground multiple times during the rollover. Despite the injuries, Strickland indicated he felt stable enough to return to sparring shortly after the incident.

The driver, Chris Cornell, reportedly lost consciousness during the crash and was transported to a hospital. Subsequent updates indicated he was in stable condition, with reports suggesting a broken collarbone. The accident comes while Strickland is already recovering from a shoulder injury that has impacted his scheduled title defense.
