Sean Waltman expands WWE role to coaching and mentoring

WWE Hall of Famer Sean ‘X-Pac’ Waltman has seen his backstage responsibilities expand from simple tape review to a more comprehensive coaching and mentoring role.

Originally tasked with assisting the WWE ID program by reviewing tapes for approximately six hours per week, Waltman’s role evolved after it became clear that developing athletes required more guidance. Working alongside Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, Waltman now uses Zoom to provide mentorship and direct coaching to prospects.

Waltman noted that he utilizes his own professional mistakes to help younger wrestlers learn. He emphasized the importance of providing candid, blunt criticism to help talent prepare for the main roster, even if the direct feedback is sometimes difficult for the athletes to receive.
