SEAPAL Vallarta Director Pledges Action on Sewage Spills in Versalles

Carlos Ruiz, the Director General of SEAPAL Vallarta, met with residents of the Versalles neighborhood to address ongoing sewage spill issues. During the meeting, Ruiz acknowledged the sanitary implications of the long-standing problem and committed to implementing solutions before the current administration ends.

Proposed technical interventions include strengthening pumping capabilities at the North I Treatment Plant in Las Mojoneras and conducting desilting works on various sections of the Centro-Norte Collector, which currently faces up to 40% internal diameter obstruction.

A roadmap was established to include dialogue tables with residents to monitor progress. Additionally, Ruiz requested support from the Eighth Sanitary Jurisdiction to seek state resources for these structural projects.
