Russia warns Latvia of consequences for facilitating attacks on Russian territory
Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Mihail Galuzin told Riga that any participation in attacks on Russian territory will not go without repercussions. He warned that Latvia’s belief it can act under the “NATO umbrella” is a mistake and said Moscow is carefully recording the locations where decisions on provocations and the launch of unmanned aerial vehicles against Russian targets are made, as well as the sites of their production and final assembly.
The Russian foreign intelligence service earlier reported that Ukrainian forces were preparing a new series of strikes on Russian rear‑area regions, planning to launch them from Baltic states to shorten flight time. Ukrainian drones have increasingly entered the airspace of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. The Baltic countries assert they have not permitted Ukraine to use their airspace for attacks on Russia, prompting Moscow’s warning.
