Search efforts continue for missing persons in Dominican Republic and Colombia
In the Dominican Republic, the family of 33-year-old Samuel Heredia Solano is searching for him after he disappeared from Haina. Following his disappearance, reports suggested he may have attempted an illegal maritime journey to Puerto Rico via a small boat. This follows an incident near Mona Island, where a vessel capsized in the Mona Passage. The Dominican Navy and the United States Coast Guard rescued 26 people from the water, and search operations continue for others.
In Colombia, the body of community communicator Julián Hincapié was discovered in a state of decomposition in Anorí, Antioquia. Hincapié had been missing since September 10 after leaving his home with a neighbor. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of his death in a region where various armed groups operate.
