Search expands for four missing KMP Putri Yasmin passengers

Search and rescue teams have entered the fourth day of operations to locate four passengers still missing after the KMP Putri Yasmin caught fire in the Lombok Strait. The search area has been expanded to include the waters of Nusa Penida, Bali.

Muhamad Hariyadi, head of the Mataram SAR Office, stated that the operation has been divided into three main Search and Rescue Units (SRU) to maximize coverage of both sea and coastal areas. SRU 1 is searching the eastern waters of the incident site, SRU 2 is patrolling the coastline from Tembowong Port to Bangko-Bangko, and SRU 3 is covering the southern waters of Nusa Penida.

According to the latest data from the SAR Post, 212 passengers have been declared safe, while one fatality has been confirmed. The four individuals still missing are identified as Yasir Arafat, Selvina Rambu Mayi, I Made Sutarjana, and Slamet Yulianto.
