Rosario police intensify search for missing 32‑year‑old Micaela Albornoz

Micaela Gladys Albornoz, 32, vanished from her home in the Villa Manuelita neighbourhood of Rosario on 24 June after leaving for a nearby plaza. She was last seen around 09:30 h; her family reported she never returned and fear she may have been kidnapped.

On 2 July police discovered clothing in Parque Independencia that her sister identified as Micaela’s. The items were recovered after a tip that the woman had been seen near the lake area. Since the disappearance, the family has received extortion calls demanding money, with threats that they would find her dead if they do not pay. Authorities have preserved the scene and continue an extensive search with community assistance.
