Search for missing businessman Rodney Leysner intensifies in Suriname

A specialized search team from the Netherlands has arrived in Suriname to assist in the search for Rodney Leysner, a 52-year-old film producer and businessman who has been missing since August 15. The team, provided by the RHWW Kurtarma Köpekleri Vakfı, consists of 15 personnel, including eight specially trained search dogs and seven support specialists. The operation is reportedly being funded by Rudisa International N. V., where Leysner recently began working as an executive.

The investigation intensified following the discovery of a burnt and crushed Kia Sorento in a swamp area in Saramacca. The vehicle's chassis number matches the car Leysner was last seen in, suggesting the vehicle was intentionally destroyed and hidden. Authorities are investigating the possibility that the disappearance is linked to a crime.

Three suspects, including a Cuban couple and an individual with the initials E. R., have been detained. A fourth suspect, Ryan Torilal, remains at large and is being sought in connection with serious charges, including murder and manslaughter.
