Raúl Moyano search continues in Tucumán mountains
Search operations for Raúl Alfredo Moyano, a 59-year-old retired teacher, continue in the Ñuñorco Grande mountain area of Tucumán, Argentina. Moyano has been missing since October 12 after going trekking.
More than 100 rescuers, including specialized units from the CERO Special Forces Group, have established an advanced camp at approximately 3,100 to 3,300 meters above sea level to facilitate searches in difficult terrain. Efforts are concentrated in the southeastern sectors, including areas such as El Indio, Los Teritos, and Mula Corral, guided by a cell phone signal previously detected near Los Sarmientos.
Search efforts face significant challenges due to adverse weather conditions, including rain, fog, and snow. These conditions have limited the effectiveness of drones and the deployment of search dogs. Rescuers are navigating steep slopes, deep ravines, and dense vegetation to locate any signs of the missing man.
