Search operations continue for missing person in Aragua River

Search and rescue operations are continuing in the Aragua River following a recent incident. Authorities have confirmed the recovery of one victim, identified as Eduardo Barbera, but efforts remain focused on locating a second missing person, Zuleyka Morillo.

Mayor Juan Carlos Sánchez of the José Félix Ribas municipality stated that intensive aquatic and surface tracking is being conducted at three key locations: Punto Cero (La Gavilana sector), Puente Hierro (El Recreo), and the La Curía dike. The operation involves a coordinated effort between firefighters, Civil Protection, the VEN 911 system, and various police forces, alongside local volunteers and private sector workers.
