Search underway for two missing teenagers in Corrientes

Authorities in Corrientes, Argentina, are conducting an intensive search for two 16-year-old cousins who disappeared in the Paraná River. The incident occurred near the Puesta del Sol cabin complex in the locality of Ituzaingó.

Witnesses reported that the teenagers were playing soccer on the shore before deciding to enter the water. After they failed to return, bystanders alerted the Corrientes Police. Investigators found the youths' personal belongings left on the riverbank, leading to hypotheses of an accidental drowning or involuntary immersion.

The search operation involves personnel from the Corrientes Police and the Argentine Naval Prefecture (PNA), who have expanded their search along the riverbank. Local authorities have requested community assistance to provide any information that might aid the ongoing operation.
