Seasonal activities and cultural traditions in San Fernando and Raleigh

Various seasonal activities and cultural observations are taking place across different regions. In San Fernando, Spain, the City Council has launched Halloween 2026 celebrations, including a decoration contest with €7,200 in prizes and a 90-second horror short film competition.

In Raleigh, North Carolina, community engagement includes a tree-planting event at Carolina Pines Park on October 24, organized by the City of Raleigh and We Plant It Forward. This event focuses on environmental education, native plant care, and invasive species removal.

Cultural and health perspectives regarding the season are also being highlighted. The historical origins of Halloween are traced back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, which evolved through Christian traditions into the modern holiday. Additionally, health experts note that the autumn transition affects children's sleep patterns and health due to changing light levels and temperatures.
