Seasonal events and community activities scheduled in Long Beach and San Diego

Various community events are scheduled across Southern California as Halloween approaches. In Long Beach, activities include the Fright Fest on Pine, the Long Beach Community Media Art’s Film Spooktacular, and a Halloween Carnival at Signal Hill Park. Other local offerings include the Belmont Shore Book Fair, the Long Beach Open Studio Tour, and a beach cleanup at the Peninsula.

Additionally, Formula Drift is set to return to Long Beach for its eighth and final race of 2026, featuring practice and qualifying sessions at the Long Beach Convention Center. Musical performances include a pop-up concert at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach featuring James Preston Allen and Erik Kingshaug.

In San Diego, the Stay Strange San Diego collective will host its fourth annual Cemetery Creep. This themed bike ride begins at North Park Community Park and concludes at Mount Hope Cemetery. Organized by curator Sam Lopez, the event is designed as a non-competitive ride for musicians, artists, and the general public.
