Seasonal food and beer festivals announced in Kobe and Saitama

Various seasonal food and beverage events are scheduled in Japan. In Kobe, the Sorakuen Parlor, located within the Sorakuen Japanese garden, is offering a limited-time Western-style lunch menu featuring items such as fried shrimp, hamburgers made with Awaji beef, and beef tendon croquettes. The cafe is also introducing autumn-themed sweets, including a banana brûlée sundae and an afternoon tea set inspired by the garden's historic camphor tree.

In Omiya, Saitama, the Saitama Oktoberfest 2026 will take place from October 9 to October 18 at Kanezuka Park. The festival will feature a variety of German beers, including some making their Japanese debut, such as Einiger ‘Glücksbier’. Local craft beer from Hikawa Brewery will also be available alongside traditional German cuisine like sausages, steak, and pizza.
