Seasonal landscape changes observed in Balıkesir and Gümüşhane
Recent visual documentation highlights significant seasonal transitions across different regions of Turkey. In Balıkesir, five major mountains have been covered in snow, including Ulus Dağı (1769m), Madra Dağı (1338m), Alaçam Dağı (1615m), Kazdağı (1774m), and Çataldağ (1336m). Reports indicate that seasonal snowfall began around mid-October in several of these high-altitude areas, transforming pine forests and mountain passes into winter landscapes.
In Gümüşhane, the autumn season has transformed the natural and historical heritage of the region. Drone footage captured the vibrant colors of the Örümcek Forests in the Kürtün district, where spruce and fir trees mix with deciduous trees turning yellow and red. The footage also showcases the historical İmera Monastery in Olucak village, where the ancient stone structures are framed by the changing colors of wild poplar trees and local water sources like the Çağlayandibi Waterfall.
